The God of Bollywood - Aamir Khan line up 2010

There is no doubt that whatever Aamir Khan touches turns to gold, such is his involvement and passion and in depth knowledge about cinema. So, his next three home ventures, PEEPLI LIVE, DHOBHI GHAAT and DELHI BELLY, despite being off beat with no big stars (except Imran Khan in DELHI BELLY) are still films that one can surely look forward to and expect to be entertained as well as enlightened.

The Independence Day week, 13th August to be precise, will see the release of Aamir's Raghubir Yadav, Onkar Das, Aamir Bashir and Naseeruddin Shah starrer, PEEPLI LIVE. The film that is a strong satire on farmers' suicide in rural India is directed by Anusha Rizvi and has been screened in prestigious film festivals like the Sundance Film Festival and Berlin Film Festival. Needless to add that PEEPLI LIVE has garnered tremendous critical acclaim and lead actor, the versatile and the highly talented Raghubir Yadav has come in for much praise from the press.

Next in line for release is Mrs. Aamir Khan oops wife Kiran Rao's debut directorial venture, DHOBHI GHAAT, starring the very promising Pratiek (no Babber or Patil for him!) son of legendary actress Smita Patil and veteran actor-cum-politician Raj Babber. Pratiek had shown glimpses of brilliance in Aamir Khan's production JAANE TUYA JAANE NA. We have news from confirmed sources that Parteik is simply outstanding and so is the film. Additionally the films boasts of an extended cameo by Aamir Khan himself.

After DHOBHI GHAAT its Imran Khan's turn to showcase his acting skills via Abhinay Deo's DELHI BELLY. Also starring stand up comedian Vir Das of BADMAASH COMPANY fame and Shenaz Treasuryvala. The film is really being looked forward to by the youth who can identify with its topical subject.

Before we conclude, we must inform our patrons that the above mentioned tentative release schedule is just not our speculation but based on genuine trade and distribution input(s).
