God of Bollywood - Aamir Khan Sahab all set to gear up for PEEPLI LIVE promotion

PEEPLI LIVE, an Aamir Khan production, has been ready for quite a while. Announced more than a year back, it has reached the finishing mark. However, earlier this month, the film's lead actors Raghuveer Yadav was arrested (and released) in an ugly alimony battle with his ex-wife.

This was truly unwarranted, especially when the time was just ripe for Aamir to start talking about the positive aspects of PEEPLI LIVE. Raghuveer's arrest can be expected to thrown a definite spanner in the plans for the film's promotion. It can be expected that the master strategist Aamir would have to come up with some unique and out of the box solution to divert audience attention towards the film than its lead actor.

Says a senior member from the media fraternity, 'It can be pretty much expected that in every press conference or a media event, Raghuveer Yadav is bound to be asked personal questions rather than queries related to the film. Also, since he is the only known name and face in this star less affair set in a village, Raguveer Yadav can't even be left out of the film's promotional campaign.'

However, Siddharth Roy Kapur, CEO, UTV Motion Pictures (which is co-producing the film along with Aamir Khan) is confident about the film being on the right track. He says, 'The entire marketing and promotional campaign of the film would be a collaborative effort with Aamir. In any case, the sort of inputs and direction that one gets from Aamir is invaluable. He is leading the team in that sense. The film is pretty much on track for 13th August release. As for the Raghuveer Yadav episode, I don't wish to comment.'
