Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar says that Aamir Khan starrer 3 Idiots reminds him of his "naughty days" as a youngster. Sachin, who watched the film at Ketnav studios in suburban Bandra along with his wife Anjali and friends including cricketer Ajit Agarkar, told reporters that he loved the film.

"It has every thing from comedy to romance and I was reminded of my naughty days as a youngster," he said. 3 Idiots releasing on December 25 has 44-year-old Aamir play a 22-year-old engineering student along with actors Madhavan and Sharman Joshi. Kareena Kapoor is the female lead.

When asked about the whereabouts of Aamir, who has gone missing as part of the film's promotions, Sachin said that the actor met him three days ago and handed him a paper and told him to read out the contents to the media.

"I don't know anything more than this," he said and read out the clue, "Kahan jaoon kaise jaoon, itne sawal kaise suljaoon, kabhi to sochoon main udd jaoon. Kabhi sadak pe car bhagaoon, ya chuk chuk gaadi ko aazmaoon, chahe main jaise bhi jaoon, maa ke aangan mein raat bitaoon."

The clue is part of an innovative promotion strategy for the film, involving the public and the media. The actor will spend 1-2 days in seven cities while in disguise and leave behind seven clues to his whereabouts.
AMIR KHAN SAYS ATITHI DEVO BHAVA

Not only does he make films with perfection but Aamir Khan also takes his initiatives very seriously. For the last one year, Aamir has been working hand in hand with the Ministry for Tourism to spread the message of 'Atithi Devo Bhava'. This has been an honorary commitment that Aamir has made and he isn't charging any remuneration for it. For him, it's all about promoting India's rich heritage and sensitising Indians about the fact that we are hospitable people.

The campaign 'Atithi Devo Bhava' made quite an impact the last time with Aamir appealing to the public to stop defacing national monuments and to be cordial to the tourists. The new ad films that Aamir is now working on with Rang De Basanti director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra will be a bit different. Interestingly, Aamir will be seen as a sutradhar (narrator) in the films.

Trust Aamir to go that extra mile to make an impact. Whether it's changing his looks or adding his own creative inputs, whatever Aamir does, he puts his heart and soul into it. Only this time he would be asking the citizens of India to put their best foot forward while playing the host.
AMIR VANISHES INTO THIN AIR BEFORE 3 IDIOTS RELEASE

In an innovative marketing strategy to promote his upcoming film "3 Idiots", actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan has virtually disappeared and is on the run. Last year around the same time, Aamir had set up a barber shop on the streets of Delhi to promote his last film "Ghajini" which became a roaring success.

And this time, for the next two weeks before the release of "3 Idiots", the actor will be on an adventure trip throughout the country. The film is releasing on December 25. Nobody will know his whereabouts till he wishes to reveal it himself. Aamir has challenged his fans that he will be in their midst and they will not know about it for the next fortnight.

"I don't like to lose. If the participant wins seven victory points, I will concede defeat," the actor said in video message played at a press conference which was attended by other members of the cast, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and director Raj kumar Hirani. The "challenge" is part of Aamir's marketing plan to promote the film through Alternate Reality Gaming (ARG).

ARG will be played across media platforms and is an interactive game played in the real world. In the game, the main character (Aamir) will reveal himself periodically and leave clues of his whereabouts. The first clue will be announced by cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar after watching a trial show of the movie today. The riddle which will be read out by Tendulkar will contain the name of the city where Aamir is stationed presently.

The participants will have to log on to idiotsacademy.com and the winner will get to spend the new year eve with Aamir.
